If your handle feels loose, droops down, or does not return to its normal position, this is usually caused by either:
A loose handle fixing, or
An issue inside the door mechanism (mortise / multipoint lock)
This guide will help you quickly identify the cause and apply the correct fix.
Step 1: Identify Where the Issue Happens
Check both sides of the door:
Case A: Issue on BOTH sides (inside and outside)
The problem is NOT the handle itself
The issue is likely with the internal door mechanism (mortise or multipoint lock)
What to do:
Remove one handle from the door
Test the remaining handle on its own
Repeat with the other handle
Result:
If both handles feel loose when tested individually → the internal mechanism is not functioning correctly
The mortise/multipoint mechanism will need to be checked or replaced
Case B: Issue on ONE side only
The problem is usually the handle fixing on that side
Proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Fix a Loose Handle
Symptoms
Handle wiggles in all directions
Feels loose but still operates
Solution
Remove the lock from the door
Locate the fixing hole underneath the handle
Use the 4mm Allen key (included in the screw bag)
Tighten the screw very firmly

⚠️ Important:
You will be using the short end of the Allen key
This limits how much force you can apply
Use pliers on the short end of the Allen key to fully tighten the screw

Important Notes
The handle must betightened firmly — light tightening is not enough
A slightly loose handle will quickly become loose again if not secured properly
If the Problem Comes Back
If the handle becomes loose again after tightening:
The internal fixing is worn or damaged
The entire lock panel will need to be replaced
Quick Summary
Loose on both sides → check internal door mechanism
Loose on one side → tighten handle with 4mm Allen key
Still loose after tightening → replace lock panel
