Installation Steps

1. Identify the Lock Type: Confirm compatibility with your existing 60mm night-latch lock (e.g., Yale, Era, Legge). This product is a keyed cylinder replacement; the night latch itself is not included.

2. Remove the Existing Latch: Unscrew and remove the night latch from the inside of the door. Retain all screws and components.

1. Remove the Keyed Cylinder: Detach the cylinder and set aside the screws and backplate for reuse.

1. Prepare the Tailpiece: Align the new cylinder with the door and mark the correct tail length. Use a hacksaw to trim it as needed.

1. Install the Cylinder: Attach the existing ring to the brass cylinder and push the new lock into place. Hold temporarily with masking tape if needed.

1. Secure the Cylinder: Use the retained screws to secure the cylinder in place.

1. Reattach the Latch: Refit the latch onto the backplate and secure it with screws.

1. Completion: Test the lock’s functionality with all available unlocking methods.
